Background
Candidate Profile
Zenda is seeking an operations lead to join the team. This individual has at least 3 years of experience in early-stage venture fund operations management, or working in finance/operations at a startup. This is a jack/jane-of-all-trades role relating to finance, operations, and investor relations. This person will support the Zenda investment team across all areas of the firm that involve managing investor capital.
This is a full-time role - Miami is the preferred location, but open to remote work. Zenda is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Responsibilities
- General admin → in charge of all administrative and operational tasks related to running Zenda (e.g. ops, finance, vendors, insurance, compliance, etc.).
- FP, Accounting & Tax Coordination → setting up and overseeing the operating budget, and overseeing accounting and tax filings for the fund, the GP, and the management company.
- Cash Management → setting up and overseeing processes for making capital calls, funding investments, making distributions, and paying employees and vendors in a timely fashion.
- Monthly Fundamentals Reporting → aggregating financial data from portfolio companies and producing internal KPI report.
- Quarterly LP Reporting → coordinating quarterly LP reporting with our fund administrator.
- Audit Coordination → coordinating annual audits and delivery of reports to investors.
- Investor Relations → providing support in reporting and answering questions for Limited Partners.
- General investment team support → supporting the investment team across various aspects.
Attributes & Skills
- Degree in accounting, or business administration.
- At least 3 years of experience as an operations lead of an early-stage venture funds, or working at a startup.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Gets things done. Applies a methodical approach to understanding how to improve processes, yet is flexible to learn on the job as needed.
